About
Dr. Patrounova is not only an acclaimed educator, she is also a leader and a mentor for her community. Throughout her academic career, she has held various leadership positions in professional organizations such as ADEA, TDHA, and GHDHA, positions in which she supported and uplifted her colleagues. Her tenure as Director of the Dental Hygiene Program at UTHealth School of Dentistry was capped with the program being named "Best Hygiene Training Program" by readers of DrBicuspid. She has a proven ability to build strategic relationships all while creating and implementing evidence-based educational curricula, managing budgets, and collaborating with educators, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals.
In her free time, Dr. Patrounova enjoys going to the ballet, reading, and spending time with her family.
